Roy Thomson Hall is one of Toronto’s most iconic structures. It is situated in the heart of the Entertainment district, at the east side of David Pecaut Square. The circular, curved glass exterior was conceived by Canadian architects Arthur Erickson, and Mathers and Haldenby.
The hall opened in 1982, and underwent a 6 month renovation in 2002 to upgrade its acoustics. The futuristic structure has appeared in some major science fiction movies and TV shows, including the movie X-Men.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra has turned the page on its first century and is now in season 101! There are bold and exciting concerts scheduled, with programming to suit all kinds of musical tastes. Here's a list of some upcoming performances.
